Dungeons and Drawings
Dungeons and Drawings: The Quest for the Power of Legend is an parodic interactive D&D-inspired narrative consisting of late 90s/early 2000s cartoon characters (such as Spongebob and Mojo Jojo).
Dungeons and Drawings is a group interactive narrative project I worked on for my Digital Storytelling course at WSU. I was the project's narrative designer and writer. The game was made using Twine's Harlowe format and was published for free in Fall 2021.
To accurately emulate these pre-existing characters, I studied their language patterns. Mojo Jojo was one of my most notable character studies due to his eccentric, repetitive dialogue. This project also gave me experience with incorporating feedback given by my teammates.
I no longer have access to the classroom account, so I cannot update the code nor the writing. After two years, I believe the writing and gameplay complexity could be heavily improved upon. I plan to someday republish the game with revised prose, an improved UI, and more emphasis on player choice.
